Five Fingers Strand

Five Fingers Strand

looking back towards the Isle of Doage.

The small opening runs very strongly at low and high tide.

It was a natural crossing point for the residents of the Isle of Doagh on their way to mass at Lagg Church. Walking, boat walking and the same in reverse, and on an empty stomach as the practice at the turn of the century was to go to mass fasting from the night before.
